Short Description

CINELEASE, INC., The entertainment industry’s leader in lighting and grip equipment rentals servicing production companies throughout the US, owned by our publically held Parent Company HERC Rentals, is seeking a Rental Agent for our headquarters at our Los Angeles, CA location.

 

Cinelease is the largest independent motion picture equipment rental house in the USA, with our company headquarters in Los Angeles and multiple branch locations throughout the country. Cinelease has serviced thousands of feature film and television productions with premier lighting and grip equipment, and has built its reputation with over 40 years of exceptional service to the studios and independent production companies.              

 

Summary

Service all rental customer needs, including rental quotes, equipment orders, delivery and pick up at location; interaction with the our sales, warehouse, purchasing, and accounting teams to provide the best possible service to our customers.     

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing initial rental order quotes with pricing instructions from Sales team.
  • Work directly with customers/crew either by telephone, email, or face to face.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and handle and resolve all customer concerns.   
  • Process day to day customer requests for equipment.
  • Coordinate customer deliveries and pick-ups with transportation department.
  • Communicate with shop foreman with all equipment order processing, order changes, equipment exchanges, and inventory stock checks.
  • Maintain customer show files in an accurate, detailed manner in all areas, including main packages, add-ons, exchanges, PO’s, sub-rentals, missing and damaged equipment, and wrap sheets.
  • Communicate with the billing department on rental order questions.
  • Sub-rent and purchase equipment when necessary.
  • Accurately process purchase orders and negotiate with vendors to achieve discounted pricing
  • Use RTPRO inventory tracking program to process quotes, orders, transfers, and inventory availability.
  • Assist with annual inventory and special projects as required.

 

Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and able to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Knowledge of lighting and grip equipment or entertainment industry production experience a plus

Requirements

    Professional Experience

    Educational Background

    College degree in business administration, marketing or related field preferred

    Conditions of Employment

    Experience in customer service, sales or operations

    Knowledge of the rental industry, including knowledge of industrial and construction equipment and tools a plus

    • Coordinate and follow-up on service calls, past due accounts
    • Coordinate deliveries and pickups

    • Help client identify specifications regarding equipment
    • Identify customer needs regarding sales, rental or service
    • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
    • Run reports on Herc Rentals systems
