Short Description

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions. Assures records are prepared and maintained in accordance with internal policies and within external compliance. Collaborates with management to develop procedures and systems to ensure the most efficient processes are in place and that all the goals and objectives are met. 


 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits
  • Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team

    Educational Background

    Bachelor - Accounting; CPA a plus
