Short Description

The Accounting Manager will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations. Leading the accounting processes, supporting the compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and serving as an accounting subject matter expert. The candidate will also be involved in driving continuous process improvements and system implementations. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance
  • Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Prepares internal and external reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments/other systems
  • Analyzes and reviews information by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
  • Reviews general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Coordinate interim and year-end support for external and internal auditors
  • Provide leadership, career development, performance feedback, and training
  • Understands and maintains Sarbanes Oxley Compliance
  • Project work as assigned

Professional Experience

Minimum of ten years of accounting experience preferred. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Educational Background

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA Preferred

  • Inter-Company/Purchase Accruals/Other Liabilities
  • Microsoft Office Suite and other business software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners
