Job Purpose
The Credit Manager plays a vital role in supporting both internal teams and external customers, ensuring efficient credit operations and strategic decision-making. This position requires strong financial expertise in evaluating credit viability for B2B borrowers, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in credit application processing. The Credit Manager will collaborate with leadership to refine policies, oversee reporting, and drive department objectives.
What you will do...
- Manage business relationships with Dunn & Bradstreet, Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, and Creditsafe
- Oversee vendor purchase orders and maintain account credit limits
- Partner with Herc Collections and Field Operations to implement effective policies
- Lead training and development initiatives for direct reports
- Review credit applications, emails, and calls to ensure professional communication and accurate financial decisions
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports, fostering team building and cultural improvement
- Establish a safe and supportive work environment
- Ensure credit limits are set appropriately based on credit worthiness to maximize revenue and minimize risk
- Responsible performance evaluation, training, work allocation and problem resolutions.
- Provide monthly reporting and stats to Senior Management.
- Provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in financial and credit management, with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Exposure to contract law, secured transactions, and bankruptcy regulations
- Experience managing teams, developing talent, and driving business improvements
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including implementation or development
Skills
- Contract compliance and risk assessment
- Business operations and financial strategy expertise
- Strong understanding of cash flow and financial statements
- Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and Oracle
- Leadership, negotiation, and conflict management abilities
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a high-volume work environment
- This role is designed for a strategic thinker who balances financial oversight with customer service excellence while guiding a high-performing team.

Pay Range: $85,000-$100,000
