Short Description

 

The Risk Management Specialist plays an integral role in the collection process within Herc Rentals Order to Cash. The primary functions include reviewing customer jobsites where Herc Rentals’ equipment is being used to secure lien and bond rights by providing correct notices to applicable parties and ensuring that lien releases are processed accurately and timely. The preliminary notice must be sent out in a timely manner. Preliminary notices provide a legal process where Herc can secure its legal rights to compensation in situations where customers have defaulted.

Responsibilities

Determine if Lien and/or Bond Claim rights should be pursued based on various factors relating to the outstanding AR and risk for Herc Rentals’ customers.  

Determine if equipment being used is eligible to file for lien or bond rights based on State Statutes.

Research to obtain Property Owner and General Contractor information to assist with providing lien information.

Ensure updated information will be added into the System and steps followed to get notices mailed to each party. 

Ensure all activity is documented in the required systems for tracking.

Ensure critical deadlines and SLAs are met.

Determine if Herc Rentals’ customer types of business can have a Lien and/or Bond claim filed.

Ensure the proper release is provided to the customer based on the jobs and payments received or required.

Work with in-house counsel on revised release request from customers.

Assist the Legal Services Team with filing, tracking, and various clerk duties relating to securities and Accounts Receivable.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

Professional Experience

Knowledge of Statutory Lien Laws and knowledge of Lien Releases are preferred
