Short Description

Responsible for printer/desktop/laptop installation and support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for all new printer installations, transfers, replacement and decommissions.
  • Resolve/troubleshoot printer issues with IT and vendor.
  • Update and maintain printer management software.   
  • Audit and maintain standards of printer configuration.
  • Monitor printer health status and take appropriate action to resolve issues. 
  • Create and maintain reports around printer inventory and print volume per location.
  • Create and maintain knowledge-based articles for printer support.
  • Work with a broad base of tools and technologies around desktop and laptop support in an enterprise environment is required.
  • Interact with management, technical leads, and business users to understand the business and technical requirements regarding assigned work tasks.
  • Work in a collaborative manner with other team members to balance and address operational tasks, project work, and business requests related to desktop support.
  • Support application lifecycle for centrally supported PC applications.
  • Participate in projects as assigned tasks.
  • Provides operational support for endpoint protection, encryption, client management, and other client-side computer management solutions.
  • Work with other Desktop support to assist engineering with technical solutions in support of business requirements when needed. Ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for assigned responsibilities.

Educational Background

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred OR
  • Equivalent experience of 3-5 years in IT support would be the alternative.

 

Professional Experience

Experience with printer installation, setup, and troubleshooting
Experience with creating technical/process documentation.
Experience with troubleshooting desktop and printer issues remotely.
Proficient in create and manage reports, graphs, and charts using Microsoft Excel.
Ability to contend with a multi-tasking, dynamic environment with strict deadlines
Ability to take and offer direction as appropriate to complete the tasks at hand
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the following operational areas: Desktop imaging, Mapping network drives, Adding printer mappings to a desktop, Experience managing and troubleshooting software.
Examples: Windows 10, SCCM (ECM), Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Web based applications, Windows based applications
Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation.
Ability to work well with others across many organizations including development, sales, marketing, finance, customer support, and field service
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
Must have a customer service focused attitude.
Experience working with Ricoh Streamline SLNX and Ricoh Web Image Monitoring (WIM) is a plus.
