Short Description

The Used Equipment Sales Representative’s responsibility is to work with the field operations and fleet planning teams and drive used equipment sales through retail channels with the best possible pricing, balanced by volume of deletes.  The position will report to the Senior Director of Fleet Planning.  This position will have significant interactions with regional fleet, operations and sales personnel.  This position will be responsible for annual dispositions of approximately $6m - $15m in assets (OEC).  They will identify sales opportunities using leads and networking at disposal locations.  They will assist and support in all aspects of remarketing to sell the used equipment.  The strategic objective of the position is to maximize sales price (proceeds) and volume of sales based on business plan disposal targets.

Responsibilities

Optimize Proceeds through the Retail sales channel

Identify opportunities for used equipment sales

Identify fleet which is underutilized and aged and market for sales.

Evaluate sales pricing to maximize gain balanced by target volume. 

Determine geographic optimization for dispositions

Source fleet internally to sell

Provide leadership and guidance to locations on used equipment sales, knowledge and how condition effects sales.

Strive for continual improvement in revenue generation.  

Maintain sales customer management tool including sales calls, wins, lost sales and reason for lost sale.

Negotiate pricing, logistics, etc to complete sale.

Follow up with sales customers to ensure customer satisfaction and additional leads.

Support all aspects of selling used equipment (including assisting in picture compliance)

Follow up with customers on past due balances to ensure we receive money timely

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree

Conditions of Employment

Strong working knowledge of excel
Experience in the used equipment market including retail sales
