Short Description

The IT Hardware and AV Coordinator will be responsible for managing all IT Desktop/Laptop assets, which includes, lifecycle management from procurement through to retirement, maintaining inventory records of all IT hardware (including mobile devices, workstations, printers, and networking/data center infrastructure).  This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all conference room AV equipment. This role will participate with developing departmental workflows and training documents. 

Responsibilities

  • Inventory/Asset Management 
  • Receive and tag incoming IT assets and process into inventory 
  • Process new employee asset requests, equipment moves, and replacement cycles 
  • Process asset returns from employee terminations 
  • Conduct semiannual physical inventory verification 
  • Organize and manage inventory storage area 
  • Utilize purchasing, asset, and change control data to ensure inventory is accurate and updated 
  • Manage and process all IT hardware assets for disposal 
  • Install and configure new AV equipment as required 
  • Perform routine conference room & equipment checks 
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues 
  • Coordinate service calls with AV & cable vendors 
  • Organize & maintain storage for spare conference room equipment

Requirements

    Professional Experience

    Previous experience in an enterprise infrastructure with IT Desktop support, inventory control, supply chain, and/or procurement preferred
    ITAM Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional preferred
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly strong MS Excel skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
    Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
    Able to perform well in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask as well as quickly change directions and priorities as needed
    Basic understanding of IT hardware & conference room AV equipment
    Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
    Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision
    Must have ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds in weight
    Computer skills to support entering information into systems
    Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Programs

    Educational Background

    Associate degree in IT Systems/Finance/Business Administration or equivalent years of work-related experience
