Short Description

As the Logistics Manager for Herc Rentals, you will be a key contributor to the efficient movement of rental equipment across North America. You will be a trusted voice when making decisions on fleet deployment and spend at the company level.

 

You will

Partner with senior management to develop and manage a comprehensive logistics strategy for the company

Manage and develop the current team of logistics professionals

Manage and reinforce the logistics and dispatch technology tools currently used in the business today and develop additional technology to better manage Herc’s logistics capabilities

Manage real-time logistics support for North American operations for equipment moves between markets and across states

Manage emergency logistics support for large projects and emergency response efforts

Monitor and manage relationships and spend with third party logistic companies

Be responsible for the revenue management of our total logistics and branch transportation effort

Interact cross functionally with the Fleet, Procurement, IT, and Process Improvement teams

Responsibilities

Review equipment fleet and logistics requirements with leadership and regional management.

Facilitate the transfer of equipment and ancillary parts between regions and branches.

Control spend and balance budgetary needs by finding efficiencies in the transportation of equipment, sourcing of available equipment, and substitution of equipment.

Monitor and analyze trends in fleet utilization, including reviewing gains, shortages and usage

Create and drive process for ongoing improvement with transportation fleet management

Requirements

    Professional Experience

    5 years of experience in a multi-geographical logistics management role.
    Equipment Rental knowledge is a plus

    Educational Background

    Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Logistics
