Short Description

The IT Sourcing Manager is the key negotiator for the company for contracts with IT vendors. You will be working directly with business stakeholders in our Information Technology and Legal teams to deliver continuous vendor cost, performance, and process improvements by being the key negotiator for IT vendors, suppliers, and software licensors. You will have the opportunity to save the organization significant costs while continuing to grow your career.   • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects (hardware, software, telecom, etc.) to include; strategy development, preparation and facilitation of RFP’s, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract execution
  • Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and other team members to identify & implement cost, performance and process improvements within the Herc IT sourcing process
  • Manage and measure supplier performance against contract (cost, service levels and usage), addressing supplier performance issues, one off and systemic
  • Continuously assess IT market conditions to take advantage technology trends as they impact Herc buys.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree

Conditions of Employment

  • 5 years of technology (hardware, software, telecom, IT Labor) sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company, a large service sector company or, a large industrial manufacturing company
  • Experience in designing & executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable bottom-line cost savings
  • Experience in managing multiple, simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organizing


  • Excellent interpersonal & influential skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Results orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure, working with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
