Short Description

As a MuleSoft ESB Developer, you would be responsible for design, development, support, maintenance, and implementation of complex, large-scale operational and fault tolerant integration solutions. You will need to have the ability to work as part of a team and have a deep working skill set within the ESB platform as well as the soft skills to effectively communicate with clients and peers.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Business Requirements, perform impact analysis and assess technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome
  • Work with herc business users and/or external vendors to design, develop, test, document, and deploy solutions on the MuleSoft Any point platform
  • Design API layers, data model and specifications
  • Develop APIs using MuleSoft platform components (i.e.: API Manager, Cloud Hub, Any Point Studio, Data weave and Any point MQ)
  • Developing the appropriate unit test scripts in accordance with test cases as designed by the quality assurance analysis
  • Test and improve performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability, and resource usage
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify source of the issue and fix/work with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures
  • Work with team to create and influence proper standards for development, governance, and operational lifecycle
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of MuleSoft & cloud integration operations and delivery
  • Participate in IT security and compliance audits, work towards addressing security vulnerability/exposures as identified by IT security and IT audit and compliance teams

Requirements

    Professional Experience

    3+ years’ experience in designing and developing APIs in large complex system environments using MuleSoft. Excellent command of REST standards and API deign
    Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements
    Experience with working on complex functional software projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies
    Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS-*, SOA integration, API Management technologies and standards
    Familiarity with the various technical landscapes of multi-channel business architectures including CRM, web, mobile, legacy, and 3rd-party software systems and the key linkages between them
    Experience with integration technologies and database applications such as, but not limited to: SOAP, Oracle, DB2, MS/SQL, REST and/or EJB
    Basic understanding of TCP/IP, Security (Basic Auth, OAuth 1.0 and OAuth 2.0, SSL/TLS)
    Experience with source control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket; Build/CI tools like Maven, Bamboo, and Jenkins/Hudson

    Educational Background

    Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of overall experience in support of information technology computer systems and databases

    Conditions of Employment

    MuleSoft certified 4.x
    Must be an independent, self-motivated team player that is meticulous and methodical in creating solutions
    Proven experience managing multiple baselines across multiple environments
    Experience with collaboration tools including Jira/Confluence and Slack
    Understanding of AWS/Cloud technologies
    Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
