Short Description

The Operations Analyst will assist with functions related to Operations support.   The Operations Analyst provides comprehensive and effective support to Herc Rentals’ field operations. To achieve this objective, the Operations Analyst researches and responds to a wide variety of inquiries and system-related requests for assistance from team members at the branch level and corporate level.

Responsibilities

  • Create, prepare, and analyze Operations reports
  • Extensive data manipulation using advanced queries and Excel techniques to facilitate senior leadership decisions
  • Develops and enhances processes that drive continuous improvement in system data integrity
  • Track key business metrics, and identify business process improvement opportunities
  • Become Operations SME regarding Point of Sale and reporting tools
  • Provides direct support to field team members for issues with RentalMan (Point of Sale system) processes, as well as equipment category/class creation and maintenance
  • Performs user acceptance testing (UAT) on break/fix and RentalMan enhancements
  • Document key business processes
  • Assists manager in developing goals and objectives to align with departmental and company objectives

Professional Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in an analyst function or related role
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required
Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills with keen organizational and administrative abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to understand and affect audiences at all levels of the organization
Excellent analytical expertise with a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service
Experience with Wynne Systems preferred
Experience with SQL

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the rental industry (strongly preferred)
