Short Description

The purpose of the Payroll Coordinator is to monitor, modify, and maintain information within the company’s payroll system. This person will audit incoming employee hours from internal systems weekly from across North America and will balance payroll runs through Infor/Lawson. The Coordinator is the point of contact for troubleshooting issues, answering employee questions, and being a subject matter expert for the team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential issues and providing solutions to management.
  • Manage payroll and deduction interfaces both inbound and outbound.
  • Maintain all Infor/Lawson files for active associates.
  • Ensure that all data entered in Infor/Lawson has appropriate approvals.
  • Weekly processing of field payroll input to Infor/Lawson in order to ensure that all associates are paid accurately and timely.
  • Control and process manual payroll checks following department guidelines and appropriate approvals.
  • Timely and accurate processing of year end W-2’s.
  • Train new team members and update procedure manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Background

High School Diploma/GED

Conditions of Employment

1-3 years of high-volume payroll processing experience preferred
Multi-jurisdictional payroll experience a plus
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Team player, comfortable in a fast-paced multi-task environment
Ability to process high volumes of data accurately and meet processing deadlines
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
High level of customer service skills
Good communication skills
Experience with Infor/Lawson payroll system a plus
