Short Description

A Product Support Data Specialist will submit warranty claims to multiple manufacturers through the manufacture’s website warranty system in a timely basis. The claims must be monitored to ensure accurate disposition and reimbursement. Daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports must be reconciled for each manufacturer.  In addition this person manages the data for the Product Support team as well as some specific functions company wide.

Responsibilities

  • Administer warranty program for assigned vendors
  • Review and submission of all warranty claims based on work orders received during current month
  • All claims submitted to appropriate manufacturer within 30 days of receipt
  • Identification of aged claims to be dispositioned within 90 days.
  • Ad hoc reporting using SQL queries to pull Rentalman data 
  • Maintaining and content creating for product support intranet page 
  • Maintaining and content creating for SharePoint folders
  • Developing programs to rapidly and automatically process claims in RM, submit claims to OEM and preform other RM functions to save time. 
  • Working with AP to resolve credit memo issues 
  • Creating and editing PDFs 
  • Bi-Weekly Warranty reports distributed reporting
  • Maintenance of Rentalman 
  • Rentalman inspection interval editing and bug fixing 
  • Creating maintaining and applying SDIS steps 
  • Applying inspections and SDIS to new Cat-Classes 
  • Fix units missing hourmeter/odometer including the use of reporting to target units 
  • Cat-Class warranty period table editing 
  • Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike
  • Support all team members
  • Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols

Professional Experience

• Mid to Advanced level computer software experience
• 1-3 years office experience
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
• Microsoft Office
• Oracle / counter operations software knowledge
• Interpersonal skills

• Ability to communication effectively and efficiently
• Dependability

Educational Background

• A bachelor's degree is required
