Short Description

A Herc Safety Administrator focuses on administering and maintaining the health and safety information systems by completing data management goals of tracking and reporting requirements. While ensuring user security and engaging in one-on-one relationship building, you will become an intricate member of Herc Rentals safety first culture. Responsibilities also align with updating senior management on key metrics goals and readouts.


  • Maintain Safety and Health information systems, to include Avetta, ISNet, and Risckonnect
  • Safety & Health data management, tracking, and reporting
  • Assist with the development and creation of Safety-related training
  • Maintain working knowledge of company safety systems and processes to address basic questions and direct more complex questions appropriately within the departments 
  • Primary system admin for Safety Systems including technical and functional support for users
  • Manage user security, permissions and location scope
  • Review data for quality and timeliness, and address all data gaps, outliers and other concerns with users.  
  • Generate procedures and training documentation for users
  • Assist corporate and regional teams with adding tasks, audits and system changes
  • Generate output reports and dashboards
  • Manage Safety internal website
  • Be a key stakeholder during monthly planning meetings for Safety, DOT and Safety Training teams.  
  • Ensure organized retention and accessibility of company safety and health-related records
  • Maintain OSHA citation database; prepare reports; validate vs. OSHA DRS; follow up as needed
  • Maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems related to injuries; follow up as needed
  • Prepare internal reports and regulatory required reports for review by Safety Manager

Educational Background

A bachelor's degree is required
