Who we're looking for:

The Systems Administrator I is responsible for providing IT applications development, administration and product support for key business systems.  Specifically, this role will be supporting Force.com applications and FileNet.  The Application Administrator I will work in close collaboration with various business & functional teams to facilitate a continuous and seamless process for managing Herc Rentals’ relationship with its partners and customers.  This position will be responsible for planning, architecting/developing both large-scale and parallel smaller projects, providing systems administration/process design, as well as being comfortable delivering recommendations and analysis to management. 
 

How you will make a difference:

  • Be the liaison between teams working as an intermediary who helps support and translate needs across business units and functions
  • Partner with development and technical teams to ensure that they understand the specifications, conduct business process modeling, and generate applicable scenarios for the testing team
  • Validate and translate business requirements into functional requirements (what) and solutions (how) and contribute throughout the enhancement/development process with analysis, solutions, user acceptance testing and training
     

A day in the life:

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements and translate requirements into detailed specifications 
  • Analyze complex systems and troubleshoot and isolate system issues.
  • Perform system administration, release management and deployment as well as management of system environments.
  • Proactively monitor for security gaps as it relates to internal and external threats.
  • Support the design and implementation of 3rd party data integrations
  • Create and manage users, roles/profiles, and security settings to ensure systems are secure
  • Configure and maintain declarative capabilities, including approval processes and flows; and default to these solutions whenever possible.
  • Implement and maintain various user-facing components such as custom reports, page layouts, dashboards and user input screens to provide a scalable solution that is also easily adopted by all users. 
  • Work closely with other IT Admin/Support teams to provide a highly available document management system.
  • Plan upgrades, patching, and other maintenance tasks to keep the system current.
     

We would especially love to hear if you have:

  • Experience supporting applications that run on the Force.com platform
  • Experience supporting FileNet or other document management systems
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or APEX technical languages
     

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field).
  • Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud, (or Advanced Administration) certifications.
     

You have the skills to:

  • Support an application development & release process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management. 
  • Communicate effectively 
  • Collaborate across multiple functions and organizations and have the ability to approach technical and business solutions in a consultative manner
  • Work under tight deadlines and handle multiple detail-oriented tasks.
