Short Description

Ensures all transportation requirements are met pertaining to company, state and federal motor vehicle regulatory compliance and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on the topic. This includes daily inputs and ongoing maintenance of driver DVIR’s and third-party logistics compliance. Develops and implements compliance plans for transportation regulatory initiatives and opportunities and has responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating regulatory or legislative assignments.   Assists with creation and implementation of transportation compliance actions and strategy.    Creates action plans and programs for compliance improvement and prevention.  Performs updates and regularly reviews related data for accuracy and compliance.  


Works with the field to update and create training material for CMV drivers including DVIR training video and Load Securement Guide.  Obtains, analyses, and communicates critical DOT transportation regulatory information for use by management and related departments.  Provides technical expertise to other personnel who may be assigned to assist in carrying out projects and assignments.  Timely follow-up on roadside inspections and violations as a result of internal audits or external issues.  Assist in all DOT & FMCSA compliance and regulations. i.e. RODS, DVIR, Load Securement, DQF’s, Driver Fitness, Driver Certifications, Hazmat, etc.  Assist with reviewing and addressing driver performance and accident reporting.  Ability to conduct CMV driver safety and operations instruction and training.  Good knowledge of FMCSR. Good understanding of FMCSR part 395 – Hours of Service of Drivers. Knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and inspections as specified in FMCSA Part 396 DVIR . Assists with the third-party logistics program compliance and manages related relevant information.  Analyses and trends data and creates action plans for improvement opportunities. Acts as a liaison for the field for program development, improvement and implementation.

Professional Experience

Educational Background

BA/BS University degree with a concentration in business administration preferred
