Short Description

The Operations Auditor is responsible for planning and executing on-site branch audits to ensure that Herc Rentals branches are following and sustaining key operational and financial controls.  The Operations Auditor is also responsible for supporting branches via collaborative training and advising on controls and operating procedures.


  • Perform branch audit testing to assess operating effectiveness of controls in place, prepare the appropriate workpaper documentation, and conclude on effectiveness of controls 

    Serve as the primary interface with field management associated with assigned audits 

    Draft the audit report including proactive action-orientated recommendations 

    Lead the discussion of audit issues with field personnel and co-develop action plans to address them timely 

    Present issues and balanced conclusions that demonstrate in depth business knowledge of branch operating procedures  

    Train and provide feedback to new members of the department, as appropriate 

    Provide training to the branch personnel on operational processes and initiatives as needed 

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree desired
1-3 years customer service or audit experience

Conditions of Employment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Equipment rental experience preferred Oracle and RentalMan experience preferred
Oracle and RentalMan experience preferred
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be able to travel out of town, as required (approximately 70%)
