Short Description

The Learning & Development Business Partner will be responsible for developing and conducting operational training to internal customers across the company in a dynamic and fast paced equipment rental business. The Business Partner will interact with field management to assess training needs, coordinate and schedule training in assigned area or responsibility. The Business Partner will manage various inhouse training project initiatives from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Conduct instructor led training to include live in-class, on the phone, live one on one and via WebEx.

Guide employees through the completion of all components of Sales and Operations Trainee curriculum.

Travel to branches throughout the assigned region to provide on-the-job training for Sales and Operations Trainees and other field personnel as required.

Manage high profile training project initiatives

Assist District and Branch Managers with performance management including, feedback, and coaching for employees.

Be a resource on equipment knowledge for counter staff.

Provide additional training on areas that need specific focus or more in-depth coverage for certain employees.

Assist with counter operations at branches when gaps occur.

Assist with completion of other training such as required safety courses and all other courses auto-assigned on Herc University.

Act as a resource for Herc employees regarding field operations, processes, SOP’s, field questions and resolve problems.

Use innovative thinking to implement process improvements for counter operations.

Assign tasks and projects to Sales and Operations trainees as needed as to aid in the development of the employee and provide additional support as required for all Herc employees.

Assist with managing performance of employees including providing feedback, coaching and addressing issues.

Professional Experience

Thorough understanding of Sales and Operations Trainee Curriculum

Understands project management principles and application

Understand adult learning principles

Policies/procedures associated with all counter/branch operations

Ability to effectively develop and build talent of employees

Broad rental fleet knowledge including use of equipment

Proficiency with all currently used technology systems

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Specific education in training/teaching/development is a plus.
