Short Description

The Contractor Tool Specialist focuses on educating, selling, maintaining, and growing our current small tool business. Selling alongside Territory Sales Representatives, educating branch operational staff, and enhancing the overall ProContractor tool customer experience.


  • Daily Branch and Sales interaction
  • Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them, collaboratively with Territory Sales Reps
  • Develop and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals
  • Maintain and exceed quotas by renting and selling equipment on a consistent basis
  • Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately and guiding Sales Reps to do the same
  • Understand and be able to teach about all ProContractor tools, bulk, and their applications
  • Drive mechanic ownership/buy in and oversee rental-tool-stewardship accountability (Appearance/Functionality)
  • Develop and enhance ProContractor tool customer experience (Showroom/Transaction Execution/Curbside (Covid) Experience
  • Develop rapport with OEM representatives
  • Be the champion for the ProContractor Tools line of equipment by partnering with branch employees within your assigned major market.
  • Train branch employees on best practices including the following
  • Product knowledge
  • Equipment Showroom display and condition
  • Profitability

Professional Experience

Sales acumen
3+ years of experience in the common use of this equipment including its application as well as bulk accessories that are used for its application
2-3 years of general tool sales experience, preferably from an OEM, rental tool company, hardware store, general contracting, etc.
Expertise and knowledge of small tool equipment in the following trades: concrete, masonry, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, general construction
Ability to train co-workers and customers
Ability to make presentations to all levels of the company
Strong Communication skills across all platforms
Ability to travel to a network of branches in an assigned region regularly

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree preferred
