Short Description

HR Business Partners are aligned with the business to provide direct coordination and access to the HR Leadership Team and service areas.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective employee relations, service employees by utilizing excellent problem solving and relationship skills, an in-depth knowledge of human resources generalist issues as well as policies and procedures, and knowledge of company products and services. It is important that you can support and drive HR strategy through the business in partnership with senior and local management. The Business Partner will work closely with business leaders and the HR Leadership Team to support deployment of a comprehensive HR Strategy. The full range of generalist knowledge will be needed to drive success.

 

We are presently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team.  This position is based out of Etobicoke, Ontario. In this position, you will provide Human Resources generalist support to the various Herc Rentals locations throughout Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Maritimes.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our HR team, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Help maintain a positive employee and labour relations climate
  • Support recruiting process
  • Personnel File Maintenance
  • Coach and advise on employee relations issues
  • Leave of Absence administration and tracking
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns
  • Conduct New Hire Monthly Orientations
  • Knowledge of Provincial regulations including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights legislation
  • Research and complete special projects

Professional Experience

Bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior, human resources, organizational development, or educator at the secondary school or collegiate level

2 – 4 years of human resources experience

Educational Background

Bachelor or Master - Human Resource Management or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience in Human Resources

Conditions of Employment

A minimum of 1-3 years experience and a proven track record in an HR position. Experience in recruitment and -labor relations.

Must have valid Class G license

Clean driving record
