Short Description

The Talent Advisor is accountable to implement recruitment strategies and execute recruitment activities across Canada. He/She focuses on building and maintaining partnerships at colleges, universities and trade schools, specifically focusing on candidates for our sales internships, trainee and apprenticeship programs. This position will be a hybrid role, working from home, attending live events, and doing site visits periodically. 

Responsibilities

  • Filling Requisitions as needed by the business.
  • Attend campus career fairs, interact with students and promote the Herc Rentals brand.
  • Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
  • Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Completing paperwork for new hires.
  • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Contact college, university and technical schools to provide informative materials about Herc programs.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with educational institutions.
  • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
  • Report on recruiting metrics after every careers event, including number of candidates interviewed and hired.
  • Promote Herc’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.

Professional Experience

1-3 years Recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience required

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution.

Conditions of Employment

  • Proven work experience as a full-cycle recruiter.
  • Solid ability to conduct interviews at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to source candidates through databases and social media.
  • Ability to multi-task and work constructively under high pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time to attend campus and technical recruiting events.
