Short Description

A Herc Associate HR Business Partner will support the strategic focus and ensure delivery of HR objectives by providing effective employee relations to employees by utilizing excellent problem solving and relationship skills while having an in-depth knowledge of human resources generalist issues as well as policies and procedures. It is important that this individual supports the HR strategy through the business in partnership with local management. The Business Partner will work closely with the HR Leadership Team to support deployment of a comprehensive HR Strategy. The full range of generalist knowledge will be needed to drive success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for local deployment of HR COE strategies
  • Ensure business case objectives for HR solutions/policy are met.
  • Focus HR initiatives to meet Operational needs
  • Administer day-to-day HR activities in employee relations, compensation, labor relations, benefits, staffing, training, and succession planning to support operational goals and business objectives
  • Act as an Employee Advocate to communicate ideas to improve strategy
  • Workforce planning is a function of the business unit – it will be the responsibility of the HRBP/HRD role to carry it out.
  • Staffing & Recruitment assistance to participate in interviewing and career fairs when necessary
  • Ensures onboarding for all new employees is consistent as well as successfully prepares employees for their roles
  • Active partner with local management to implement HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Mentor, develop and coach staff providing guidance, leadership, and coaching to achieve results that are in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide insight and response to general employee questions and concerns
  • Manage and execute on team member rewards and recognition
  • Ensure consistent discipline practices and legal compliance
  • Provide management guidance on HR laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike
  • Support all team members
  • Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols

    Educational Background
