Short Description

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying and entering information into computer system; creating, preparing and submitting various reports; receiving and responding to field and administrative telephone calls/emails; reconciling payment information; researching unreconciled cash activity

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify and enter information into computer system
  • Generate and review reports for accuracy
  • Compile, organize and prepare various reports and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Create and maintain files
  • Reconcile cash deposits with cash booked
  • Receive and respond to issues related to unreconciled cash
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned

Requirements

    Educational Background

    High School Diploma/GED

    • Ability to effectively communicate complex situations via email/telephone
    • Ability to prioritize tasks
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
    • Skill and proficiency in the use of personal computer software including Microsoft Office, AS/400, Oracle, etc.
