Short Description

The main objective of the Manager, Field Operations is to support Herc growth through Greenfield Openings, Branch Relocations, COE expansions and support, Acquisition Integration, Operational Initiative rollouts, and assist with Emergency Response during Hurricanes and other natural disasters. In addition to providing equipment and tools from brand names our customers trust, we employ knowledgeable and dedicated employees at our 260 branches throughout the US and Canada. Responsibilities

  • Initial site visits early in the project for Showroom, Shop and Yard layout planning 
  • Recommend order quantities for PCT fleet and rental related Bulk and Resale items
  • Assist with Bulk and Merchandise orders in SmartEquip
  • Assist with ordering Showroom, Shop and Yard items in Oracle
  • Assist the Construction Team during the construction phase of Greenfields and Branch Relocation projects
  • Setup Showrooms to Herc Rentals standards
  • Setup Shop work bay and storage areas
  • Setup the Yard to follow the Herc Way Operating Model
  • Provide training on the Operating Model, PCT Product Knowledge and Herc Rentals processes
  • Maintain a detailed project plan, schedule and resource assignments
  • Identify risks, potential failure points, and develop counter measures to avoid missing timelines
  • Identify quick wins aligned with initiatives
  • Establish and provide guidelines for development and delivery of training
  • Implement initiatives in field locations/ branches
  • Coaching and mentoring of field employees executing the changes in the field
  • Accepting accountability for the initiative success
  • Manage business and stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitating discussions and issue resolutions between functional teams
  • This person will be responsible for on-site conversion, training, and timeline management on all Greenfield, Relocations and Acquisition Integration projects
  • This position requires 50% to 75% overnight travel throughout the assigned region and will be based out of a Herc Rentals branch.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree minimum or equivalent Herc Rentals field experience
