Short Description

This position has responsibility for managing the debt, derivatives, bank relationship management, foreign exchange, payment strategies, policy, insurance, and M&A process development along with associated compliance. The Treasury Director will work directly within Treasury and will support Herc and its Affiliates through a strong service model-based approach. Other responsibilities include managing day to day processing, reconciling, analyzing and reporting on Treasury related transactions in support of Herc and its Affiliates.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the Company’s risk profile and manage its insurance program through determining and/or negotiating the appropriate pricing, coverage, terms and conditions 
  • Assist in the strategic risk management vision and delivering that strategy to the company 
  • Analyze, execute, and manage the Captive Insurance Program  
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance professionals and makes recommendations to executive leadership for policies as well as rental agreements and contracts 
  • Analyze and strategically execute self-insurance in additional states to manage risk 
  • Staying on top of contemporary risk management issues to ensure Herc is proactively managing it's risk profile. 
  • Analyze, execute, and manage the financial modelling and presentation for multiple acquisition targets 
  • Maintain ownership of the process including working directly with key executives and owners within and outside the organization 
  • Make recommendations for target acquisitions strategies 
  • Deliver accurate and timely information for senior executive’s decision making 
  • Maintain ownership of bank wallet, manage and build strong banking relationships delivering quarterly updates to senior management. 
  • Analyze Herc capital structure and recommend strategic favorable transactions to reduce debt costs while maintaining optimal liquidity. 
  • Execute capital market transactions to diversify debt structure, improve interest rates, and minimize transactional fees. 
  • Stay current on market trends and industry developments to help Herc navigate a dynamic capital markets landscape. 

Professional Experience

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience required with an emphasis in finance
Minimum of 5 years of recent Treasury, Risk, Insurance and/or FP&A experience preferred
Public company reporting experience preferred
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTP, CFA) a plus

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution. MBA or Masters in Finance a plus

  • Fortune 500 and multi-national experience
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Compensation Data

$150,000 - $170,000 with 20% bonus
