Whether you’re a seasoned sales professional with experience in servicing national accounts, governmental agencies and general contractors or a college graduate seeking to kick start a successful sales career, Herc Rentals wants to hear from you.

As a member of our sales team, you’ll enhance relationships with existing customers and build relationships with new customers as you become an expert in solving problems related to general construction, tools, power generation, heating, cooling, remediation, restoration and more.

Our team of recruiters are always on the lookout for high-energy personnel capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Manage an assigned sales territory daily
  • Create new account opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships
  • Develop, plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results
  • Identify customer needs to optimize product offerings
  • Collaborate with the operations team to deliver world class service
  • Understand the market conditions and the competitive environment to maximize pricing opportunity
  • Provide a full range of customized services and solution-based options to customers
  • Make formal presentations to customer decision-makers and educate them on equipment
  • Report sales activity through use of customer relationship management (CRM) and other tools
  • Generate revenue focused on a select group of companies within the industrial segment (oil/gas, manufacturing, power, mining, etc.)
  • Manage accounts and grow revenue through visits to various customer offices, facilities, and job sites
  • Develop, plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results
  • Deliver world class service by offering concepts, products and services
  • Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Assist branches in keeping abreast with industrial customer changes and job site problems
  • Support all team members
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accomplish regional sales goals
  • Train and develop sales representatives
  • Analyze sales statistics and market data in order to assign sales territories and craft effective sales plans
  • Meet with customers, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiate and close deals
  • Collaborate with the Herc Plus team and industrial resources group on sales initiatives
  • Coordinate marketing and advertising efforts for local market awareness
  • Direct and participate in customer appreciation programs
  • Gain a personal relationship with the region's top accounts
  • Communicate with region staff regarding fleet requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition within assigned district
  • Submit status reports and monthly itineraries to region management
