Short Description

Herc Rentals is looking to add a Business Analyst to support the Digital Platforms team. You will be responsible for understanding the changing technological needs of the business, analyzing the impacts of change, documenting and supporting communication between relevant groups and stakeholders, and capturing requirements needed to initiate the change. To be successful in this role you should have a holistic thinking, great communication skills, and strong business and service orientation

You will

  • Be the liaison between teams working as an intermediary who helps support and translate needs across business units and functions.
  • Partner with development and technical teams to ensure that they understand the specifications, conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the testing team.
  • Drive investigations by validating and translating business requirements into functional requirements (what) and solutions (how) and contribute throughout the enhancement and new development process with analysis, solutions, user acceptance testing and training.
  • Support new product offerings and digital transformation initiatives

 

NOTE:  This role is full-time onsite in Bonita Springs, FL

Responsibilities

  • Support the telematics platform with connected solutions
  • Manage our external suppliers by prioritizing work
  • Assess current capabilities and document and translate business requirements.
  • Manage/track multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and provide project status updates.
  • Participate in quality management reviews, to ensure designs, prototypes and other work products satisfy requirements
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
  • Provide analysis and metrics as necessary to monitor performance and success of current and future product implementations.
  • Assist Project Management with overall day-to-day management of multiple projects including maintaining accurate project plans, producing meeting minutes, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints. 
  • Ensure project documentation is up to date and accessible to others, as required.
  • Plan and manage internal and external project communications, make certain of effective exchange of project information, status, issues, risks, and deliverables.

 

Professional Experience

Formal training in disciplines of Business Analysis and/or Project Management
3 years of experience working in an IT environment with application development, requirement gathering, and analysis of data
Understanding and experience in IT functional analysis, business process, use cases, functional design/architecture and functional specification documentation

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or related field

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to meet critical deadlines for high visibility projects and work constructively while under pressure
  • Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must be very organized and self-motivated / independent worker with keen attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word)

Compensation Data:

$65,000 - $80,000
