Short Description
The IT Analyst, Salesforce.com is responsible for customizing, developing and supporting solutions on the force.com platform as it relates to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and related applications. The IT Analyst, Salesforce.com will work in close collaboration with various business & functional teams to facilitate a continuous and seamless process for managing Herc Rentals relationship with its customers. This position will be responsible for planning, architecting/developing both large-scale and parallel smaller projects, providing systems administration / process design, as well as being comfortable delivering recommendations and analysis to management.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements and translate requirements into detailed specifications for force.com solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and/or efficiency, as new force.com features and functionality are introduced. This includes coordinating with key business stakeholders to capture potential returns on investment for the organization.
• Implement and maintain various user facing components such as customer reports, page layouts, dashboards and user input screens to provide a scalable solution that is also easily adopted by all users.
• Take a lead role in providing coordination between Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other force.com internal applications, ensuring consistency and preventing conflicts between the various solutions.
• Leverage knowledge of existing force.com applications to analyze complex solutions, enabling effective troubleshooting and isolation of system issues.
• Configure and maintain declarative Salesforce capabilities, including Workflow and Approval Processes and default to these solutions whenever possible.
• Support the design and implementation of 3rd party data integrations
• Perform Salesforce administration, release management and deployment as well as management of Salesforce.com sandboxes.
• Manage both internal and external resources (i.e. current support staff or consultants) as it relates to active projects and cases within the SFDC team.
• Provide support and insight to junior members of the Salesforce.com team to ensure consistency across force.com applications and customer service interaction.
• Create and manage users; Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security).
• Coordinate with Herc Rentals Cybersecurity organization around the identification and mitigation of potential security gaps as it relates to both internal and external threats.
