Short Description

The Learning & Development Specialist will create content, facilitate classes, document, schedule and support our internal customers. The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for conducting both operational and business skills training across the company in a dynamic and fast paced equipment rental business. The Learning & Development Specialist will interact with field management to assess training needs, coordinate and schedule training.  

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and conduct instructor led training in both virtual and classroom environments for all levels of personnel
  • Assist with the creation of course materials to include facilitation guides, participant guides. Maintain resource pages, and digital training assets and other course materials
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training activities using surveys and other tools
  • Collaborate and consult with field management team to understand and support the learning needs of the business
  • Assist internal learners as needed
  • Develop and maintain a training schedule of events for your assigned region
  • Create reporting metrics for assigned courses
  • Prepare and administer pre and post course documentation.
  • Update LMS (Learning Management System) records, history and content
  • Work with internal program owners to update training and development materials

Requirements

    Professional Experience

    Understand adult learning principles
    Ability to effectively develop and build talent of employees

    Educational Background

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
    Specific education in Learning & Development, or teaching is a plus
