Short Description

The senior claims administrator will report to the Business Process Operations Manager (BPOM). The senior claims administrator will lead the claim processes and reporting. Claims types include, Certificate of Insurance (COI), Herc Rental Protection Plan Claims, Self-Insured, No Insurance, etc. The senior claims administrator will work to ensure claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include claims processing and finding ways to enhance process/drive improved damage recovery.


  • Manage intake process for new claims, including gathering information from branch about the damage
  • Determine whether claims are eligible for coverage under RPP, COI, etc.
  • Lead for handling the large dollar amount/complex claims
  • Work closely as the business liaison with Accounting/Risk/Order to Cash departments on select claims
  • Collecting evidence such as photos, written documentation, etc. from branches that support a claim
  • Review and suggest settlement offer before sending them to stakeholders for approval
  • Document and close claims as they are settled/damage costs are recovered
  • Work with Broadspire as it relates to customer damage claims
  • Use and update claims documentation throughout the claims process, via salesforce
  • Support and train junior claims administrator
  • Analyze, track and trend loss information to determine loss drivers and report to internal stakeholders on existing and potential new operations
  • Maintain claim files within claims database
  • Update and refine Salesforce platform for claims management
  • Document claims process and create best practices for internal use. SOP’s. etc.


    Professional Experience

    • 2-5 years claims management/processing experience
    • Ability to complete all requirements and meet deadlines
    • Verifiable track record of driving results
    • Experience working cross functionally
    • case management experience preferred
    • Preferred “specialty” construction/equipment insurance experience

    Educational Background

    4 year degree from an accredited college or university

    • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools (Access, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Sales force experience preferred
