Short Description

As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to the Company’s compliance and process improvement efforts through execution of the annual Internal Audit plan. As a Senior Analyst, you will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will have a strong command of internal control concepts, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the COSO 2013 framework, and other applicable SEC/PCAOB regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assurance services via financial, operational, compliance, and SOX 404 audits as well as advisory services such as process improvement reviews and strategic initiatives
  • Provide input to audit scope and audit procedures to be performed for projects assigned
  • As applicable, review the work of Staff assigned to the projects you lead
  • Interface with internal/ external stakeholders associated with assigned audit areas
  • As relevant, assess policy, procedural, and process documentation related to specific project scope
  • Document and assess the design and implementation of the controls under review
  • Perform audit testing to assess operating effectiveness of controls in place, prepare workpapers clearly describing the procedures performed, relevant judgments, and conclusions reached
  • Participate in the discussion of audit issues with management and/or improvement opportunities with management and provide insight regarding potential action plans to address them in a timely manner
  • Provide input to reporting for assigned audit areas

Professional Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Certification preferred, CPA or CIA
Big 4 public audit/accounting experience with public companies (preferred)
Internal controls experience with one or more public companies
Working knowledge and experience with internal control frameworks (specifically COSO) and an understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency
Working knowledge of SEC and SOX reporting requirements
Risk management experience, including performing assessments and audits, enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
Willingness and ability to travel if needed – 5-10%

Educational Background

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
