Job Purpose

The Senior Sales & Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in creating an exceptional customer experience and supporting the day-to-day success of the branch. As one of the first points of contact for our customers, you'll represent the Herc Rentals brand by delivering outstanding service, building relationships, and helping customers get the equipment they need to succeed.

No two days are the same at Herc Rentals. You'll work closely with customers, drivers, Territory Sales Representatives, and branch team members to coordinate equipment rentals, deliveries, and operational activities. What you will do...

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through a high volume of phone calls, emails, and customer interactions.
  • Proactively answer customer inquiries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment deliveries and pickups.
  • Partner closely with drivers, transportation providers, Territory Sales Representatives, and branch personnel to support customer needs.
  • Process rental reservations, contracts, extensions, exchanges, and equipment returns.
  • Help optimize delivery schedules and routing to support operational efficiency.
  • Provide customers with guidance on equipment availability and rental solutions.
  • Generate, review, and maintain daily branch reports and operational documentation.
  • Support all branch team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Assist with yard and equipment activities as needed, including staging equipment for customer pickups.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support branch initiatives as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education is considered an asset.
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer service, dispatch, rental operations, logistics, sales support, or a related role.
  • Equipment rental, construction, transportation, fleet, or industrial experience is considered an asset.
  • Dispatching and equipment coordination experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
  • Experience with RentalMan, Salesforce, Optimus, On The Go, or similar systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement practices is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate various types of rental equipment.

Pay Range: $26 - $28 per hour
