Job Purpose

The Mega Project Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational success of the Company's Cold Lake Mega Project operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of equipment, services, and workforce support to meet project objectives and customer expectations. The Mega Project Branch Manager will lead project-based operations, oversee financial performance, develop customer relationships, manage equipment and personnel resources, and ensure compliance with all company, site, and regulatory requirements.

What you will do...

  • Lead all operational activities in support of the Cold Lake Mega Project.
  • Ensure project profitability through effective budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, customers, contractors, and site leadership.
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage equipment utilization, fleet readiness, maintenance coordination, and asset allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor project KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety programs, site requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct operational reviews, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of equipment, services, and support.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Support project mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities as required.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and strengthen customer partnerships throughout the duration of the project.

  • Experience building and maintaining strong customer and contractor relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing demands effectively.

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to pass a Federal Criminal Background Check.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in construction, industrial services, equipment rental, or project operations, including direct management of teams of 10 or more employees.
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial projects, maintenance projects, or mega projects is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Cold Lake, Alberta.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • A recent driver's abstract will be required.
  • Must meet all site-specific access and safety requirements, including successful completion of required orientation and safety training.

Type: Headcount Increase

Pay Range: $120,000 - $130,000 plus profit share plus living allowance
