Job Purpose
The District Assistant Branch Manager is a one to two year rotational role within a designated Herc Rentals district. This position assists with the management of multiple branches, ensuring equipment rental and sales services are executed effectively and to high quality standards. The role is designed as a developmental path to becoming a branch manager and reports directly to the District Manager. The District Assistant Branch Manager identifies opportunities to maintain and improve the district’s competitive position and profitability.
What you will do...
- Support profit and loss reporting, budgetary planning, and operational reviews across assigned branches
- Conduct operational reviews and process improvements within the district
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers at multiple branch locations
- Assist with employee relations and staffing levels, supporting branch teams as needed
- Participate in fleet management and optimization across the district
- Develop, implement, and train staff on safety plans and procedures
- Ensure Federal compliance with OSHA regulations and DOT standards at all district branches
- Conduct audits and support compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with the District Manager and branch managers to drive operational excellence
Requirements
- Must be a current Herc Rentals employee with a minimum of 2 years of Herc Rentals experience
- Applicants must be able to relocate within the assigned district
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related industry/field preferred

Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 plus profit share
