Job Purpose
What you will do...
- Schedule and conduct safety training, familiarization and demonstrations based on customerneeds. Courses include but are not limited to Forklift, Mobile Elevating Work Platform, SkidSteer, Mini Excavators and Fall Protection.
- Prepares training materials and classroom for class activities.
- Coordinate equipment for demo and evaluations.
- Perform all administrative duties associated with conducting training.
- Knowledge of Federal and Provincial occupational safety regulations including standards such as CSA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC and other non-regulatory safety codes and standards required
- Research and develop training materials to improve presentations.
- Attends train-the-trainer courses, conferences and seminars, as determined by Region Safety Manager and/or Division Safety Director, requiring periodic travel.
- Team facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional settings.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints and manage shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated mastery of Sales skills such as selling value over price and selling the value of training to our internal sales force and potential customers.
- Works with our sales, marketing and operations functions to support the customer-facing Safety requirements and meet with customers to actively communicate programs and progress of objectives.
- Proposes customized training packages based on unique needs of each customer.

- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to engage and train adult learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Consultative sales approach with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret safety standards, regulations, and training materials.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other business technology platforms.
- Experience delivering training or facilitating groups is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and/or work experience.
- 1-3 years in practical experience operating equipment and training group sessions.
- Experience with required regulatory compliance.
- Broad knowledge of company operations, Develop and/or improve training programs as directed by leadership.
- Knowledge of teaching aids and equipment, selection of training methodologies.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Clean driving record.
- Able to lift and transport training equipment, and set up classrooms.

Must be able to travel out of town, as required (approximately 75%).
- Safety Awareness: Understands, follows, and motivates individuals to follow the safety rules and regulations.
- Working long and irregular hours, and under pressure conditions.
- Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate client-requested training sessions outside of regular business hours.

Pay Range: $70k - $90k plus variable monthly commissions + Company Truck + Fuel Card + T&E card
