Short Description

The Strategic Account Representative is an outside sales position primarily responsible for managing and growing facility segment revenue within a geographic market.  Qualified candidates will be able to develop business relationships with a select group of companies and individuals within the industrial segment. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters who want to enhance their skills with a company whose reputation speaks for itself.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow National Account customer rental volume nationally and internationally.

Pro-actively create strategies to increase rentals/revenue with assigned National Account customers.

Develop relationships with existing and new account contacts (decision makers) to protect and grow current Herc designation and market share.

Create relationships with competitive accounts to capitalize on new opportunities as they materialize.

Identify and develop cross selling opportunities to grow non-traditional segments within accounts.

Support a culture and open mindedness between all levels and all departments of the organization.

Effectively execute all administrative responsibilities.

Coordinate efforts with local Regional Managers regarding competitive situations and individual customer strategies.

Professional Experience

Five or more years of large account management experience
Possess demonstrated and proven revenue growth experience within a sales
Excellent business/financial acumen
Exceptional communication and networking skills
Strong PC skills
Service Industry Experience
Equipment rental industry exposure
Proven track record (8 to 10 years) in the equipment sales and or rental industry, and/or pump, power, or climate control industry

Educational Background

BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, and/or business administration preferred

Conditions of Employment

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Equipment rental industry experience preferred
